Our Story

Once upon a time, Natasha wasn’t exactly sold on the idea of finding true love on Tinder. She saw it more as a place for algorithm-driven matches rather than genuine romance. But fate had other plans.

Natasha, a Russian newcomer to the Netherlands, and Jarco, a tall Dutchman, crossed paths thanks to Tinder. Despite hitting it off, they faced a seemingly insurmountable obstacle: Natasha’s uncertain future in the country and Jarco’s NATO commitments. So, they settled on being friends.

As Jarco dated other girls and Natasha fought Dutch bureaucratic battles, they stayed in touch and checked on each other once in a while. But something clicked between them whenever they exchanged texts. Then, fate intervened in the form of a heavy sofa from an online marketplace.

Natasha needed help getting the bulky furniture up to her third-floor apartment (up the tricky Dutch stairs!), and who else but Jarco, the knight in shining armor, came to her rescue? It was a moment that sparked something deeper between them.

This “sofa” (which Jarco insisted on throwing away, by the way) made them realize, that life is too short for such excuses as “NATO” or “Russian”. They decided to take a chance on love.

And from that moment on, their love story unfolded—one filled with laughter, tears, and yes, even two shots of vodka.

Dresscode

We don’t persist on this, but we’d love you to dress up. Cocktail attire it is! It’s a semi-formal dresscode, think of maxi-dresses for the ladies and suits for men. We’ve enclosed some pictures, so you have an example of what it could look like. Surprise us!

For the ladies: there will be gravel at the castles surroundings. Please keep that in mind when choosing the right shoes or bring an extra pair of shoes for these short walking distances.

Tips & Suggestions

I also wanted to add a block with some Tips & Suggestions.
I agreed on a 10% discount with this hotel https://theanthony.nl/, but there is a thing that in order to get the discount guests have to email directly to this manager Kelly (kelly@theanthony.nl)
and indicate in the email subject: Natasha & Jarco Bruiloft 14/09.
There is another hotel giving 10% when booking directly on their web, that’s where we are staying – but there are only a few rooms left I think
We couldn’t make any other research on the hotels unfortunately, but could also add any of your recommendations as well. And I might also search for a few more just to give out options. We can indicate that there are hotels aroound the kasteel too.

There will be plenty of parking space at the property of Kasteel Rijnhuizen. You will find this halfway the driveway of the castle.

Gifts

There will be plenty of parking space at the property of Kasteel Rijnhuizen. You will find this halfway the driveway of the castle. Our biggest gift is your attendance to our wedding. If you insist on bringing something, we would be happy to receive a small gift for our honeymoon. Additionaly, I need to highlight for Russian guests that they bank cards won't work in the Netherlands, so they make sure to bring cash and or reach out so we can somehow help them with anything they might need.
