Our Story
Hi there, and welcome to our wedding website!
We’re Ruth and Joel, and we’re excited to share a bit of our story with you. We met nine years ago in Leeds, and what started as a chance encounter when Ruth was home from university turned into something much more.
One day months after meeting, Ruth’s step-sister texted Joel with a phone number saying “This will be your date for the rest of your life”, and in hindsight, she wasn’t far off. Since then, we’ve built a life together, living in Bristol, Amsterdam, Hilversum, and now Soest. Every place has brought its own unique experiences and challenges, but we’ve loved navigating it all side by side.
Along the way, we’ve also adopted two dogs, Walter and Tobias, who have made our home even better. They’ve definitely kept us on our toes, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We’re incredibly grateful for the years we’ve spent together, and we’re looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you for being here to celebrate with us!
