Blossom Weddings & Events processes personal data because you use our services and/or because you submit these data to us yourself.

Here below is a list of the personal data processed by us:

  • First name and last name
  • Gender
  • Address information
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Date of birth
  • Wedding date
  • Allergies, for example in respect of a lunch or dinner
  • Physical impairments, to enable us to make provisions
  • Bank account number

Special and/or sensitive personal data processed by us:

  • Sexual preference (for example: gay marriage)
  • Religion (in case of a church-wedding)
  • Ethnicity
  • Health (for example if this affects the performance of the agreement)

 

  1. Objective and principle for processing personal data

Blossom Weddings & Events processes personal data when organising weddings and events, both in a business and a private capacity. This may include: ceremony, lunch, dinner, reception, party, overnight stays, activities, transportation, etc.

During the organisation of a wedding or another event, Blossom Weddings & Events will be in contact with the bridal couple, the family, the corporate client and various suppliers who provide products and/or services for a wedding or (business) event.

We process your personal data to:

  • settle your payment;
  • deliver goods and/or services to you;
  • be able to phone or email you if necessary for our provision of services

Blossom Weddings & Events also processes personal data if we have a legal obligation to do so, such as data we need for our tax return.

 

  1. Retention period

Blossom Weddings & Events will retain your personal data no longer than strictly necessary for the realization of the objectives for which your data were collected. The following retention periods apply for the categories of personal data as listed below:

  • Personal data regarding guests: until 1 year after the wedding/corporate event;
  • Personal data regarding client and subcontractors: until 7 years after the wedding/corporate event to comply with the requirements from the Tax Authorities;
  • Information we retain after 7 years, such as reference details, will be made anonymous, for example by using only the first names and the date of an event or wedding.

 

  1. Sharing personal data with third parties

Blossom Weddings & Events will not sell your personal data to third parties and will only provide these in case necessary for the performance of the agreement concluded and/or in order to comply with legal obligations.

Blossom Weddings & Events will only provide your data to third parties whose involvement with the organisation of your wedding or corporate event is necessary. Our staff and the third parties engage by us have an obligation to respect the confidentiality of your data. We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data to ensure an equal level of security and confidentiality of your data. Blossom Weddings & Events remains responsible for these processing activities.

An important component of the work activities is drafting a script containing detailed descriptions of who does what and when. Each script is unique. It is unavoidable that this script states the names of the bridal couple, the family and the suppliers. The amount of personal data is kept to as limited an extent as possible. The script is solely shared with those who are working at the wedding or corporate event and require this for the proper performance of their tasks.

Where else are your data stored:

  • Webhosting (mail contact or contact form on website)
  • Blossom Weddings uses Mailblue / ActiveCampaign to send emails. For example, if you request an e-book, your data (name and email) will be sent to MailBlue / ActiveCampaign.
  • MailBlue / ActiveCampaign keeps track of which pages people visit on the website. For example, Blossom Weddings knows whether an e-mail campaign is successful. It is also possible to send e-mails to a specific part of the mailing list.
  • Online planning tool (in which all the information about the wedding or event is digitally stored).

 

  1. Cookies or similar technologies that are used

Blossom Weddings & Events uses only technical and functional cookies and analytical cookies that do not violate your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone on your first visit to the website.

The cookies we use are necessary for the technical performance of the website, your ease of use and the management of the performance of the website. They ensure proper operation of the website and remember your preferred settings, for example.

We can also use them to optimize our website. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser in such a way that it will no longer store cookies. Besides this, you can also remove all information stored earlier through the settings of the browser.

 

  1. Review, amendment, transfer or removal of data

You have the right to review, correct or remove personal data. Besides this, you have the right to revoke any consent for processing of personal data, object to the processing of personal data or retrieve the data for transfer.

You can send your request to info@blossomweddings.nl. In order to be certain that the request to review the data was submitted by you, we request you to include a copy of your proof of identity. It is recommended for the protection of your privacy to blacken the photograph, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport, the passport number and the citizen service number on this copy.

 

  1. Privacy policy changes

Blossom Weddings & Events reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy, for example when laws and regulations so require. Changes will only be made known through the website in an adjusted version. We therefore advise you to regularly consult the privacy statement on our website.

 

  1. Security of personal data

Blossom Weddings & Events considers the protection of your personal data a serious matter and takes appropriate measures to  counter misuse, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and impermissible changes. Communication through various social media channels (Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) and sharing sensitive private information is your own responsibility. This privacy statement therefore does not apply to the manner in which social media platforms handle the data you provide. We wish to point out to you that many social media platforms are established outside the European Union and store data outside the European Union. Most of the time, the privacy legislation of the European Union is not applicable there. We recommend that you carefully read the privacy statements of these social media channels.

 

  1. Data breaches

Processor will notify controller of every ‘breach in connection with personal data’ as referred to in article 4 sub 12 GDPR.

This privacy statement (v1.0 – dated 14 February 2019) becomes effective on 14 February 2019. Blossom Weddings & Events reserves the right to make changes to our privacy statement. The current version is published on our website.
