Groot-Warnsborn | Fall wedding

Set against the soft light of the season, this October wedding embraced refinement, atmosphere and understated elegance. A Dutch–New Zealand couple welcomed an international group of guests to Groot Warnsborn in Arnhem for a celebration rooted in detail and intention.

A clean palette of white and green, accented with subtle plum tones, set a calm and elegant foundation. Flowing fabrics added movement and softness, while personal details — from arcade games to curated design elements and signature drinks — created moments of surprise throughout the day.

The celebration was completed with a giant pavlova topped with kiwi and raspberries, served as the wedding cake in a beautiful nod to New Zealand tradition. The result was a celebration that felt timeless, thoughtful and deeply personal. Effortless elegance with meaning woven into every detail. This October wedding had it all.

Maria is an absolute super star! She brought our vision to life and we couldn’t have done it without her. I’ll admit I can be a bit picky, but she was so attentive, patient, and understanding throughout the entire process. She understood what we had in mind and made sure it could happen!

From the very beginning, we wanted the planning process to be fun rather than stressful, and that’s exactly what Maria delivered. She found the perfect location and vendors, kept everything organised, and made each step feel easy and enjoyable. We always felt confident that she had everything under control.

The wedding day itself was incredible. The best day ever! I know Maria and her assistant, Sally May, were working hard behind the scenes, but to us and our guests, it all felt effortless. Everything flowed beautifully, and so many people commented on how seamless and well-coordinated the day was.

Our wedding was everything we had hoped for and more, beautiful, joyful, and completely “us.” We’re so thankful to Maria for turning our ideas into reality and for making the entire experience such a happy and memorable one. We’ll always look back on our day with so much love and gratitude for her incredible work.
